From July 10, 2017 to July 31, 2017, UGA Transportation and Parking Services will switch operating systems for the live bus tracker. Due to the nature of this system transition, live bus tracking may be unavailable on both the UGA Transit website and the UGA mobile App. For Summer route information, please visit https://transit.uga.edu/summer-routes.
This upgrade will not affect the Athens Transit bus tracker on the UGA App.
Preparing for Fall
UGA Transportation and Parking Services is performing these upgrades now in preparation for the Fall semester. Decreased ridership during Summer allows time for implementation and testing of the new software so that systems are well established prior to the start of Fall semester.
Customer Service Enhancements
Customer service enhancements will include an enhanced desktop portal for tracking UGA buses and improved accuracy of arrival times.
During this transition, UGA Transportation and Parking Services will also install automated annunciators and high resolution cameras to each UGA bus. The annunciators will call out stops when a bus arrives at a scheduled location. The cameras will enhance safety and security by providing interior and exterior coverage of a bus during an emergency.
We are working quickly to complete these upgrades. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
